Oliver Lee Memorial State Park has an interesting history in Dog Canyon. The Native Americans that lived up in the canyon had access to water and many hideouts. Water in the desert! Along the nature trail. The mountains to the west looked like they were on fire that evening.
City of Rocks. is just like its name - pretty bare except for the interesting rock formations and its history. There are trails around and through the Rocks for hiking, biking and climbing.
