May 13 – June 14, 2018 Bigfork, Montana

Spending time with my brother and sister-in-law enjoying this part of Montana. Absolutely gorgeous!

Hiking along the Avalanche Creek trail in Glacier NP. The park is not open all the way through – they are still doing snow removal. Pictures of Avalanche Creek, trees along the trail uprooted, Avalanche Lake, Lake McDonald and the lodge on Lake McDonald. Beautiful hike! Would have loved to gone to the high pass but not meant to be this trip. Will have to come back sometime in the future later in the summer.

View from Bear Mtn overlooking Lakeside. Blacktail ski area up here. According to my brother a great place to ski and not as pricey as Whitefish.

After a storm – can’t even see the mountains

Ewam and Garden of One Thousand Buddhas – Arlee MT

St. Ignatius Catholic mission church

Lake Koocanusa

View from my brother’s back yard. Can’t get enough of it!

Attending the Wild Mile kayak and canoe races. Obviously not watching the white water area. Beautiful Swan River. Then moved to the whitewater area.

Beautiful drive back to Bigfork from Kalispell.

Went on a native plant identification hike with a group lead by Mark Schiltz of the Montana Land Reliance. It was a lot of fun. Here is a picture of Wolf Creek which paralleled the trail we hiked.

A golden eagle on a utility pole along a road I was driving.

Went to Mass at Saint John Paul II in Bigfork. Inspiring views while there.
