Nov. 28 Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge (Amargosa, Nevada)

The springs at Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge near Death Valley were awesome. I was not there at the right time of the year for viewing wildlife so I took pictures at the Nature Center of what inhabits the area (a surprising number). This place would be great to visit in the spring when the wild flowers were blooming attracting a lot of songbirds. The drive up Hwy 395 from Lone Pine to Bishop, CA was beautiful. Spending the night at a campground near Bishop which is in the Owens valley with snow-capped Sierra Nevada mtns to the west and the White mtns to the east. Gorgeous area!
